Hi, I'm Mike, the face behind Kirby's BBQ.

My passion for barbecue started with a simple £10 grill from Argos and has grown into a full outdoor kitchen packed with a collection of barbecues and smokers.

What began as a way to cook outdoors quickly became a lifestyle.

For me, BBQ is about far more than food. It's about slowing down, switching off from the pressures of everyday life, and enjoying the freedom and headspace that comes from cooking outside.

Whether it's a quick midweek dinner, a low-and-slow weekend cook, or entertaining friends and family, there's something special about gathering around live fire.

Through Kirby's BBQ, I share recipes, tips, reviews, and inspiration to help others get more from their outdoor cooking.

My goal is to show that great BBQ isn't about having the most expensive setup, it's about enjoying the journey, learning new skills, and creating memorable food and experiences along the way.

From that £10 starter grill to a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, I've experienced every step of the BBQ journey, and I love helping others take the next step in theirs.

When I'm not behind the grill, you'll usually find me with my chocolate Labrador, Toby who also loves keeping a close eye on BBQ.
